General Massoud Rouzkhosh, spokesman of the fifth large-scale drills codenamed Fada'eeyan-e Harim-e Velayat (Devotees of the Velayat Sanctuary) announced the success of the electronic warfare drills and testing of advanced communication systems on Saturday, saying “the air defense communication systems were able to carry out the designed missions in the electronic warfare drills by using secure wired and wireless networks, various kinds of flight facility systems such as tactical control (TACON), ISR, PIR, course, glide as well as various kinds of mobile and approach tactical systems.”

“Under the guidance of the tactical and operational drill base, all communication systems of the command post were rendered inactive. He further asserted that in this stage of the drills, other operations such as aerial refueling, defense against biological and chemical attacks, relief and rescue, electronic disturbances, and combat air patrol were successfully executed.

Noting that Iran seeks substantial stability in the region, General Rouzkhosh added that the drills will continue tomorrow by increasing the volume of fire and precision in hitting moving and stationary targets in air and on ground.

The large-scale drills, codenamed Fada'eeyan-e Harim-e Velayat 5 (Devotees of the Velayat Sanctuary 5) began on Saturday to convey Iran’s message of security, stability, friendship and lasting peace to regional countries. The operations will be carried out in three phases over an area of 400,000 square kilometers in two-day maneuvers in the central province of Isfahan.
