Mohammadi new top-ranked wrestler at 65kg

TEHRAN, Sep. 05 (MNA) – In the world championships edition of the freestyle rankings released by the United World Wrestling in August, Sayed Ahmad Mohammadi of Iran is the new top-ranked wrestler at 65kg.

These rankings were released before the September 6-12 World Wrestling Championships in Las Vegas, USA which provides a brief overview of which wrestlers will likely be competing in this tournament.

The rankings are meant to reflect a wrestler’s performance at events on the United World Wrestling calendar over the previous 12 months. The rankings are not intended, in any way, to be a predictor of success at the world championships or in any wrestling competition.

Wrestlers in this special edition of the rankings are listed by name, country code, most notable result(s) in recent years or over their careers.

Other Iranian wrestlres who appear on the list include Hassan Rahimi (57kg), Behnam Ehsanpoor (61kg), Meisam Mostafa Joukar and Alireza Kaimimachiani (86kg), and Komeil Ghasemi (125kg).
