Documentary ‘Atlan’ to vie at 9th APSA

TEHRAN, Aug. 09 (MNA) – The documentary film ‘Atlan’ directed by Moein Karimoddini will compete at the 9th Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) in Brisbane, Australia.

The documentary film Atlan, a production of Documentary and Experimental Film Center (DEFC) and directed by Moein Karimoddini will be screened at the competition section of the 9th edition of Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) in Brisbane, Australia.

Atlan is a full-length documentary film about a horse trainer named Ali and his horse Ilhan which is expected to win the family many titles. Ali intends to get married with the money he is going to gain from his winning horse Ilhan, but unfortunately things do not go favorably for him at the racing game.

Atlan recently won the Turkish channel TRT Documentary Awards in May. It also received Crystal Simorgh awards at the 33rd Fajr International Film Festival in February.

The Asia Pacific Screen Awards will be held in Brisbane City Hall on November 26, 2015.
