Vienna N-talks dragged to 5th day

VIENNA, Jun. 14 (MNA) – Nuclear talks between Iran and the 5+1 that was expected to last for three days is still underway in its 5th day in the Austrian city of Vienna at expert and deputy levels.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Ministers Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Majid Takht-Ravanchi and EU Deputy Foreign Policy Chief Helga Schmid resumed a new round of negotiations over Tehran’s nuclear program in Vienna on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the team of experts led by Hamid Baeedinejad and Stephan Clement discussed technical aspects of the deal.

Araghchi and Takht-Ravanchi arrived in Vienna on Wednesday to resume writing the draft of a comprehensive deal on Tehran's nuclear program.

While the talks are scheduled to end on June 30, Iran says it will not risk a good deal because of time limits.

Iran and the 5 permanent members of UN Security Council along with Germany are seeking to finalize a comprehensive deal over Tehran’s nuclear program by a self-designated June 30 deadline.

The two sides have been working on the text of a final deal since they reached a mutual understanding on key parameters of such a deal in the Swiss city of Lausanne on April 2.
