Ranna's Silence to be premiered at Kikife Filmfest in Germany

TEHRAN, Mar. 14 (MNA) – A production of Art Center, Ranna's Silence will be screened at the 22nd Kikife International Children’s Film Festival in Germany.

Behzad Rafiei’s Ranna's Silence will be screened at the 22nd Düsseldorf Children's Film Festival–KinderKinoFest (KiKiFe), which will be held in Schwabisch Gmund, Germany.

The film which tells the story of an Iranian village girl Ranna and her chicken, Kakoli, is selected among 15 films which compete to win the Jury and Best Film Award.

 

 

KinderKinoFest (KiKiFe) is an international children film festival which will be held in Schwabisch Gmund, Germany from March 19 to 22.

Ranna Silence narrates the story of a seven-year-old girl and her hen, Kakoli. Ranna lives in a village in Northern part of Iran and has a special hen called Kakoli. The hen lays eggs for Ranna and she draws a chicken on the shells of the eggs with colored pencils. She, along with her brother, collects the eggs so they can have the chickens like their hen Kakoli. On a rainy night, Kakoli is hunted by a jackal and the story goes on.
