Iran receives first quota of Rio 2016

TEHRAN, Jan. 31 (MNA) – Ehsan Rouzbahani, Iran’s only representative in League of Professional Boxing, won over his Mauritanian rival in final competition and secured his quota in Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

In his final competition in the League of Professional Boxing, Rouzbahani defeated his Mauritanian rival in weight class of 81 kg. He did receive the golden belt of the games along with winning the first quota of Rio de Janeiro Olympic games of 2016.

He had won over competitors from France and Uzbakistan. However, he was defeated by his Russian rival.

League of Professinal Boxing is an annual event in Bulgaria held by 8 top boxers of each weight class.
