TEHRAN, Oct. 06 (MNA) – Tehran’s governor has called for appropriate reception of European tourists in capital.

First tourism train carrying 78 European tourists entered Iran on September 30 through Razi border.

Seyed Hossein Hashemi has ordered formation of a committee for welcoming the first European tourists travelling to Iran by railroad.

Hashemi urged expansion of tourism in Tehran Province and asserted that “continuation of this type of tourism will influence expansion of tourism industry in the country.”

“Travelling by train might be tiresome because of long distances, yet it has its unique beauties for passing through cities and nature,” said governor of Tehran.

Tourists from UK, Germany, Spain, Denmark, Singapore and Turkey made their first stop in Western Azerbaijan Province in northeast of Iran and will visit sights in provinces of Zanjan, Tehran, Isfahan and Yazd. Becoming familiar with historical and tourist attractions of Iran is announced as the goal of this expedition.
