Iran to achieve full-mechanized coal production

TEHRAN, Feb. 7 - Iran’s first full-mechanized project of coal production will be put into operation in Tabas, Khorasan Razavi Province in Iranian year of 1385 starting March 20, 2006, the Public Relations Office of Iran Mine House said on Monday.

Capital worth Rls.157bn has been invested for the said project, which is aimed to produce 750,000 tons of coal concentrate by using full-mechanized methods.

 

According to the report, project of mechanization of coal mines has so far witnessed 67.3 percent of the physical progress and 70 percent of the required machineries have been imported.

 

This is for the first time ever that Iran achieves technology of full-mechanized in producing coal.
