Aran Gallery to hang Iranian works at Dubai art show

TEHRAN, Nov. 18 (MNA) – The Aran Gallery is organizing an exhibition of Iranian works at the Art Dubai 2013.

The Tehran-based gallery will offer artworks by several Iranian artists during the event, which will be held from March 20 to 23 at the Madinat Jumeirah Resort, Dubai.

Works by several artists including Maryam Amini, Siamak Filizadeh, Arash Hanaii, Newsha Tavakolian and Behdad Lahuti will go on display at exhibit.

Founded in 2009, the Aran Gallery promotes the contemporary Iranian artists and seeks to be a point of artistic exchange between South Asian and North African cultures.

Besides the gallery halls, the Dubai Art Fair’s extensive program will include commissioned projects and performances, artists’ and curators’ residencies, educational workshops, the unveiling of works by the winners of the annual Abraaj Capital Art Prize, and the critically acclaimed Global Art Forum.
