French ambassador summoned to Foreign Ministry

TEHRAN, Sept. 22 (MNA) -- The Foreign Ministry on Sunday summoned French ambassador to express Iran’s serious concerns over the rise of anti-Islamic movements and Islamophobia in European countries.

Bernard Polti, whose country holds the rotating six-month EU presidency, was summoned to the Foreign Ministry department for women’s international affairs and human rights.

The Islamic Republic’s strong protest against the recent resolution of the European Parliament and its double-standard policies in supporting terrorist groups and using human rights issue as a tool were among the issues notified to Polti.

French ambassador condemned every kind of racism and anti-Islamifications, and pledged to pass Iran’s concerns to EU members and receive their answer as soon as possible.
