Music giant Mohammadreza Shajarian handed the Nushin medals to three veteran stage performers: Ali Nasirian, Ezzatollah Entezami and Turan Mehrzad.

Shajarian expressed his pleasure on being invited to the ceremony and said, “It is a great honor for me to hand the Nushin Medal to these masters of theater.”
Abdolhossein Nushin (1906- 1971) was known as the founder of scientific theater in
Entezami was the next who delivered a brief speech and said, “Over the past decade, I couldn’t find any interesting scripts to play on stage and I had no more energy in me to rehearse and perform on stage. But I do try to participate in the activities of the Theater Forum and the Film Museum of Iran as much as I can.”

Mehrzad expressed her gratitude on receiving the award and stated that it was a great for her to work with Nushin and grew up.
Nasirian also received his award and noted that writing and criticism is the base of theater. He added, “if this foundation is rated xxx, we will not achieve our goal of a good national theater.”

Afterwards, the winners in each category received their Nushin medals.
Bahram Beizaii was selected as the best director above age 40.
Nader Borhani-Marand was awarded the best director under age 40.
The theater troupe “Live” by director Hassan Majuni was selected the best group.
Theater Forum member Sohrab Salimi was also honored as an active member in organizing the forum’s different celebrations.
Prominent journalist Bijan Nafisi was next to be honored, and critic Hassan Parsaii was honored as the best critic of the year.
In addition, the participants in the competition section of the program were also honored.
In the report section, the best award went to Fereshteh Habibi from “Haft” monthly magazine. In the interview section, the best award went to Ali Qolipur from the “Etemad” Daily.
In the critic section, the best award went to Mehdi Nasiri from Sahneh Monthly magazine.
Mahmudreza Rahimi also won the best award in the article section, and Siamak Zomorrodi won the best photo award.
The ceremony ended with a screening of the music video featuring the recently deceased actor Khosro Shakibaii and broadcasting the cassette “Letters,” a recording with Shakibaii’s voice.
