Iran has not closed its border with Pakistan

“The situation in the province and in borders with Pakistan is normal,” Dahmardeh told the Mehr News Agency.

He ruled out the possibility that thugs will sneak into Iran by taking advantage of the situation in Pakistan.

However, the Fars news agency said Iran closed its border with Pakistan on Saturday.

Quoting unnamed sources the news agency said the Iranian authorities informed Pakistani border officials about the closure for an indefinite period.

Sources said the Iranian government had taken the decision after unrest in Panjgur, Turbat, Gwadar, Mand, and Taftan areas of Balochistan.

"Yes, Iran has closed its border with Pakistan," a Pakistani official said on condition of anonymity.
