In a post on his personal social media page, Pezeshkian said Iran's girls "recorded a valuable first" by finishing as Asia's second-best team, a result he said reflected years of growing achievement by Iranian women across different fields.
Our effort is to ease the path of progress for this talented, promising generation that brings us pride, Pezeshkian wrote.
