Iran, Qatar FMs phone call discuss regionsl stablity

TEHRAN, Apr. 13 (MNA) – The Foreign Ministers of Iran and Qatar discussed the latest developments related to the ceasefire and the need to consolidate it in order to increase security and stability in the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar announced a phone call between the country's Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar announced that Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a phone call from Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi. In the call, they discussed the latest developments related to the ceasefire and the need to consolidate it in order to increase security and stability in the region.
The Prime Minister of Qatar stressed the importance of a positive response by all parties to the ongoing mediation efforts, which will pave the way for addressing the root causes of the crisis through peaceful means and dialogue, resulting in a lasting agreement and preventing a re-escalation of tensions.
He also stressed the need to high sea routes, ensure freedom of navigation and refrain from using them as a tool for pressure or bargaining. He stressed the negative consequences of such actions on countries in the region, global energy and food supplies, and international peace and security.
