Iran open to sensible, principled talks: Ejei

TEHRAN, Apr. 13 (MNA) – Iran's Judiciary Chief Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei expressed Tehran’s readiness for negotiations and reaching an agreement, but only on the basis of “principles and logic”.

Speaking at a Monday session of the Supreme Council of Judiciary, Ejei expounded on the current conditions of Iran and the failed objectives of the enemy in both the "field" and "diplomacy" after 40 days of US-Israeli war of aggression.
The top judge stated that the Americans, with their usual arrogance and haughtiness, and following their fixed formula of negotiations—namely, imposing false statements—appeared in the Pakistani-mediated talks in Islamabad on April 11, trying to obtain from the negotiation table what they could not achieve in the 40-day war.
However, he said, the Iranian delegation, led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, prudently defended the legitimate rights of the Iranian nation and the achievements on the battlefield, and thwarted the greedy and arrogant Americans just as they were defeated in the 40-day battlefield.
Ejei added that Iran is ready for negotiation and understanding, but only based on principles and logic.
The Judiciary chief also stated that protecting and safeguarding the achievements of the third defensive war is the priority of all the people, from diplomats and members of the executive branch to servants of the nation in the Judiciary and legislative bodies, as well as Iranian segments with various thoughts and perspectives.
All Iranians are protectors of the rights and achievements of the battlefield and the brave military personnel, he stressed.
Highlighting the importance of maintaining national unity, Ejei asserted that the Iranian nation remains united and cohesive, obeying Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, and is present in the field to provide comprehensive support to the Armed Forces.
He also warned that the finger of Iran’s military forces is on the trigger, emphasizing that due to the temporary ceasefire, there has been no slackness or pause among the brave military servicemen.
