Homayoun Sameyah Najafabadi, the representative of the Jewish community in the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Iranian Parliament), spoke to Mehr News Agency in reaction to the American-Zionist enemy’s act of damaging and destroying a synagogue building. He stated that this act demonstrates that they oppose all religions and that it makes no difference to them what crime they commit.
He said that the Israeli and American regimes know that the positions of Iran’s Jewish community exactly match the positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and there is no difference between the two.
The Jewish community representative in parliament stated that because these regimes are aware of their anti-Zionist stance, they have unfortunately directed their complexes toward Jewish religious sites. These places have special historical and religious significance. He said this act has caused deep regret for Iran’s Jewish community. He added that no matter how much pressure is applied, their position toward Israel and the United States remains the same as the position of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
He added that there were several copies of the Torah in these places, which are very sacred to them. Currently, a group of people are trying to retrieve Torah copies from the rubble, but ultimately, this act is inhumane and immoral from every perspective.
He emphasized that, as they have always said, the Zionist regime is a regime that only exploits Judaism and ties itself to Judaism to advance its goals, while this regime is non-religious and even considered anti-Judaism.
He emphasized that they strongly condemn this act and hope that this war will end as soon as possible in favor of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
