Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, speaker of the Iranian Parliament, said financial institutions that provide funding for the military budget of the United States could be considered legitimate targets alongside military bases.
Ghalibaf wrote on X that in addition to military bases, financial entities supporting American military spending fall within the lawful targets.
He added that US Treasury bonds are stained with Iranian blood, warning that anyone purchasing them would also be exposing their assets and headquarters to risk.
Ghalibaf said Iran is monitoring related portfolios and described the message as a final warning.
