Iran nabs 178 mercenaries linked to American-Zionist enemy

TEHRAN, Mar. 19 (MNA) – The Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Thursday the detention of 178 individuals accused of acting as traitors and mercenaries for the "American-Zionist enemy."

According to a report by Mehr News Agency, the IRGC Intelligence stated that these individuals transmitted the locations of Red Crescent facilities and military checkpoints to enemy spying services, with the intent of enabling targeted strikes against these sites. Additionally, they shared imagery of sensitive locations following attacks to assist U.S. and Israeli intelligence operations.

The statement further noted that a number of foreign nationals have also been detained since the beginning of the war. During their arrests, authorities confiscated military and technical equipment, including weapons, geolocation devices, specialized communication gear, and foreign currency.
