According to Palestinian Shahab news agency, Israeli newspaper Yediot Aharunut (Ynet) has reported that the Israeli military did not expect such massive attacks from Hezbollah as they thought the resistance movement had been weakened.
The Israeli daily also said that the Israeli officials’ disappointment had been leaked to the media, revealing that those officials only expected Hezbollah could conduct much more limited attacks.
Prior to this, Israeli think tanks had predicted that Hezbollah was invincible.
