In an official statement, the French Defense Ministry announced on Sunday that nuclear-powered aircraft carrier ‘Chales de Gaulle’ and its accompanying group will not take part in any of the offensive operations against Iran.
The Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier does not have any offensive mission or participation in bombing operations or launching attacks against the Iranian territory.
The French approach is strictly defensive, aims to reduce tensions and maintain freedom of navigation, not to escalate the conflict, the ministry added.
