They also reviewed the achievements of bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
According to a readout of the call published by the Iranian Presidency website, Pezeshkian reviewed the achievements of bilateral cooperation between the countries in the fields of transportation, transit, energy and power plants.
He assessed the recent meeting between heads of state of the two countries in Turkmen capital of Ashgabat as “very constructive and positive”, emphasizing the precise implementation and acceleration of joint projects as well as continuation of constant communications between Tehran and Moscow.
The Iranian president also stressed the importance of operationalizing agreements in all areas of cooperation.
Elsewhere in his remarks, President Pezeshkian congratulated the New Year to the people and government of Russia, wishing peace, prosperity and sustainable progress for the country in Christmas.
Russian president, for his part, expressed his satisfaction with the level of strategic and strong relations between the two countries.
Considering the 10 percent growth in bilateral trade in the first 10 months of this year, Vladimir Putin emphasized the continued strengthening of cooperation and acceleration of implementation of agreements in all areas.
He termed the recent statements leveled by the US president and Israeli prime minister against the Islamic Republic of Iran as “regrettable”.
During the phone call, the two presidents emphasized continuing the ongoing dialogue and interaction, enhancing economic and energy cooperation, and advancing the agreements in the fields of transit, transportation, and power plants.
