Hamas rejects US accusations of ceasefire violations in Gaza

TEHRAN, Oct. 19 (MNA) – Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas has strongly rejected allegations made by the US State Department accusing it of preparing an “imminent attack” and violating the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Hamas said the US remarks “completely overlap with the Israeli occupation’s disinformation and provide political cover for its ongoing organized crimes and aggression against our people.”

The movement emphasized that “facts on the ground prove the exact opposite,” accusing the Israeli occupation of forming, arming, and funding criminal gangs responsible for killings, kidnappings, looting aid trucks, and robbing Palestinian civilians.

Hamas said the occupation itself had “openly admitted to these crimes through media reports and recorded footage,” confirming its involvement in spreading chaos and undermining security.

Hamas stressed that Gaza’s police forces, supported by community efforts, are carrying out their national duty “to pursue and prosecute these gangs through clear legal mechanisms, in order to protect citizens and safeguard public and private property.”

The movement called on the US administration to “stop echoing the occupation’s deceptive narrative” and instead focus on restraining the Israeli regime’s repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement, chief among them, the support and protection it provides to those same armed groups within areas under its control.

Hamas concluded its statement by reaffirming its commitment to maintaining security and protecting the Palestinian people against organized aggression and internal destabilization efforts.
