Iranian government has measures to counter snapback mechanism

TEHRAN, Oct. 07 (MNA) – Iranian administration spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani said that the administration has implemented essential measures to address the activation of the snapback mechanism.

Iran’s administration spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani has announced that the administration of President Masoud Pezeshkian has taken the necessary measures to counter the activation of the snapback mechanism, IRNA reported.

In a press conference held in Tehran on Tuesday, Mohajerani emphasized that the administration had anticipated this scenario and has now shifted its approach, implementing new strategies and decisions.

Mohajerani noted that all diplomatic efforts were utilized to prevent the activation of the snapback mechanism, despite facing aggressive actions from adversaries during negotiations. She introduced a new strategy, stating, indicating a proactive response to the situation.

Furthermore, the spokesperson outlined the administration’s commitment to enhancing regional diplomacy with neighboring countries following the activation of the snapback mechanism. Strengthening relations with neighbors and collaborating within frameworks such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) are now central to Iran’s foreign policy strategy.

In addition, she highlighted the importance of global peace efforts regarding the circumstances in Gaza, referencing Swedish activist Greta Thunberg’s role in promoting peace. Mohajerani pointed out that everyone witnessed the ships attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza were unable to reach their destination. This highlights the importance of the role of young women in promoting global peace.
