Turkey’s foreign minister, Hakan Fidan, voiced support for the Palestinian administration of Gaza.
As reported by the Palestinian news website, Sama, Fidan stressed that after a ceasefire is established in Gaza, the management of the territory must be handed over to Palestinians.
He emphasized the necessity of supporting the just Palestinian cause in all international forums and institutions.
Fidan, mentioning the recent conversation between Turkey’s President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and US President Donald Trump regarding Palestine, said that the two leaders discussed a number of regional and international issues, including Palestine and a ceasefire in Gaza.
The Turkish foreign minister also called for an immediate end to the war in Gaza and for humanitarian aid to reach the area. He expressed hope that future developments would pave the way for achieving peace and stability.
