The works features poetries by great Iranian bards like Hafez, the director of the museum’s Persian calligraphy section said.
“Besides, the Japanese versions of the poetries are also on display, aiming to help the visitors understand them,” Makiko Tsumura added.
“Calligraphy is not something new in
Tsumura stated that the museum has held 10 Persian calligraphy training courses and some of the students’ works have been put on display.
In addition, the Iranian cultural attaché in
Javad Kazemi stated that the Iranian Embassy is ready to cooperate with the Japanese artists who are interested in Iranian art and culture.
The museum will play host to the calligraphy exhibition until March 11.
