Iran ANP declares banned drugs for pilgrims during Arbaeen

TEHRAN, Aug. 14 (MNA) – Head of Anti-Narcotic Police of the Islamic Republic of Iran Brigadier General Iraj Kakavand announced the prohibited drugs for the pilgrims heading for Iraq for making pilgrimages the holy sites.

Acetaminophen containing codeine, diazepam, tramadol, methadone, as well as drugs for epilepsy and cancer are the prohibited drugs for the pilgrims during Arbaeen ceremonies, he emphasized.

Under the law, carrying the aforementioned drugs by pilgrims during the Arbaeen ceremonies has been strictly banned, the brigadier general added.
