Iran Exports $1.63b Worth of Industrial Goods

TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) -- Some 5.276 million tons of industrial goods worth $1.633 billion were exported during the first half of the current Iranian calendar year of 1382 (started March 21).

According to Public Relations Department of Iran's Customs Administration, the figures show a 16.7 percent increase, but a three percent decline in weight as compared to the last year.

 

The exported commodities constituted 74.4 percent and 65.2 percent of the country's total non-oil exports in terms of weight and value respectively, while the share of Iran's gas exports were 209.7 percent during the said period.

  

Export of ironware and steel as well as aluminum amounted to $120 million and $95.6 million respectively, according to the report.

 

The report further said that Iran exported over 1.274 million tons of minerals valued at $97.7 million, while the figure on the exported goods shows a 46.6 percent increase in weight.

 

The report added that Minerals constitute 19.4 percent of total export of non-oil commodities in weight and 3.9 percent in value.

 

Stone and concentrates, unprocessed construction stone, and concentrated molybdenum have generated revenue of $17.7 million, $10.9 million, and $6.9 million respectively.
