TEHRAN, Jun. 05 (MNA) – An Iranian judicial official has called on France to release an Iranian national who was detained by the French police for supporting the Palestinians.

Kazem Gharib Abadi, Vice-President of the Judiciary for International Affairs and Secretary General of the I.R of Iran's High Council for Human Rights said in a post on his X account that "Detaining an Iranian citizen by the French police for defending the oppressed Palestinian people is yet another disgraceful action by France whn it comes to human rights."

"Yesterday, I spoke with his wife and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We are resolve to defend our countrymen," the judicial Iranian official said.

"This Iranian citizen should be released as soon as possible," Gharib Abadi further underscored.

The official was referring to Bashir Biazar, an Iranian journalist residing in France who was summoned and subsequently detained by the police recently.
