In a statement on X social media platform, CENTCOM said that the attack was carried out between 12:05 p.m. and 1:40 p.m. Sanaa time (9:05 a.m. and 10:40 a.m. GMT) on May 28, with five anti-ship ballistic missiles (ASBM).
The merchant vessel Laax, a Marshall Island flagged, Greek-owned and operated bulk carrier, was reported being struck by three of the missiles, it said, claiming that continued its voyage.
There were no injuries reported by US, coalition, or merchant vessels, the statement reads.
It further claimed that US forces destroyed five uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) over the Red Sea.

Yemeni Armed Forces have said that they won’t stop their attacks until unrelenting Israeli ground and aerial offensives in Gaza, which have killed at least 27,948 people and wounded another 67,459 individuals, come to an end.
The United States and Britain in December announced a military coalition to target Yemen in support of Israel.
