Iran's policy of developing relations with Oman to continue

TEHRAN, May 27 (MNA) – The interim Iranian president Mohammad Mokhber told visiting Omani foreign minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi in Tehran on Monday that the Tehran-Muscat full-fledged relations will continue as in the past.

In a meeting with the Omani delegation on Monday, Iranian caretaker President Mohammed Mokhber emphasized that Tehran's policy of developing relations with Oman will continue.

Mokhber thanked Oman, who sent messages of condolence and solidarity for the martyrdom of President Ebrahim Raeisi and his accompanying delegation in the last week's tragic helicopter crash.

He emphasized that the policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and its late president Raeisi to develop full-fledged cooperation with Oman will continue.

Referring to the historical and brotherly relations between Iran and Oman, Mokhber said, "There are untouched capabilities and potential in the two countries, especially in the economic field, and if they are utilized, our economic relations will gain momentum."

He also expressed hope that the resolve of the high-ranking officials of Iran and Oman, the relations between the two countries in various fields will increase.

Omani Foreign Minister also met with Iranian interim foreign minister Ali Bagheri during his visit to Tehran earlier on Monday which was also followed by a joint press conference.
