TEHRAN, May 20 (MNA) – Yemen's National Salvation Government and its officials offered their condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the government, and the Iranian people over the martyrdom of Iran's president Ebrahim Raeisi.

In a condolence message announced by Zeifollah Al-Shami, the information minister of Yemen's National Salvation Government, Yemen extends its deepest condolences and sympathies to the Leader, government, and nation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as to all the oppressed people of the world for this tragedy.

In a separate message, the Chairman of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen, Mahdi Al-Mashat, expressed his condolences on the martyrdom of President Raeisi and his companions.

He added that martyr Raeisi was an example of a brave Muslim leader who was loyal to the issues of the Islamic Ummah and eager to achieve their ideals.

Also, the senior member of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, condoled the martyrdom of Iranian President Raeisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian as well as their accompanying delegation to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and the Iranian people.

He added that Iranians will remain in the way of their martyrs and the sincere leaders who are loyal to the nation.

A helicopter carrying President Ebrahim Raeisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian crashed in a dense forest area in East Azarbaijan on Sunday.

The helicopter's passengers, including Ebrahim Raeisi, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iran's East Azarbaijan Province Governor Malek Rahmati, and Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Ale-Hashem, the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution to East Azarbaijan Province, along with several other people were martyred in the incident.
