Raeisi arrives in Tabriz to inaugurate Qiz-Qalasi Dam

TEHRAN, May 19 (MNA) – Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi arrived at Tabriz International Airport on Sunday morning to pay a one-day visit to the East Azarbaijan Province and inaugurate the Qiz-Qalasi Dam.

The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is also set to attend the dam opening ceremony.

Located 220km northeast of Tabriz, the Qiz Qalasi Dam has been constructed on the Aras River on the joint borders between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
