US-Saudi Security pact near completion: Blinken

TEHRAN, Apr. 29 (MNA) – The United States is close to finishing a security pact with Saudi Arabia that would be offered if it makes peace with Israel, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Monday.

"The work that Saudi Arabia, the United States have been doing together in terms of our own agreements, I think, is potentially very close to completion," Blinken said in Riyadh.

The remarks come as Blinken has paid a visit to Saudi Arabia to attend the World Economic Forum in Riyadh.

The top US diplomat met separately with Saudi Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, where they reviewed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and joint cooperation in various fields, the Saudi Press Agency said.
