Iran's advisors continue to fulfill duties in Syria: report

TEHRAN, Apr. 24 (MNA) – An official in the Axis of Resistance told local media in Syria that Iranian military advisors in Syria are present legally and in agreement with the Syrian authorities.

The news circulated by international media and Arab websites about Iranians evacuating southern Syria and reducing their numbers is not true, an official in the Axis of Resistance told Lebanese Al Mayadeen news network, which is close to the Resistance movement in the region, on Wednesday.

The official affirmed that there are no Iranian forces in Syria, but rather military advisors who are present legally and in agreement with the Syrian authorities.

According to the official, the Iranian military advisors continue to fulfill their duties in Syria in accordance with an agreement with Damascus.

This is not the first time false reports have been published about a reduction in Iranian presence in Syria by Western media.

In response to the Israeli terrorist attack on Iran's consulate building in Syria on April 1, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and other Iranian armed forces attacked military targets in occupied Palestine (Israeli regime) with a barrage of drones and missiles on 13 April.
