Iran, UAE call for an end to Israeli atrocities in Gaza

TEHRAN, Apr. 19 (MNA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Emirati counterpart have stressed the need to put an end to the crimes being committed by the Zionist regime against the people in the besieged Gaza Strip.

In a telephone conversation late on Thursday, Amir-Abdollahian and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Ministers of Iran and the United Arab Emirates called for accelerating humanitarian aid delivery into Gaza.

The two foreign ministers also exchanged views on other developments in the region, stressing the expansion of bilateral relations between the two neighbors in all fields.

Amir-Abdollahian and Al Nahyan also stressed the need for holding meetings of joint economic and consular committees.

The top Iranian diplomat voiced his country's readiness to assist the Emirati people after the unprecedented recent floods that hit the tiny Persian Gulf country, with Dubai being hit hard.

The Emirati foreign minister, for his part, expressed his country's willingness to further develop bilateral relations with the Islamic Republic in all areas of mutual interest.
