Alamian earned a win over a contestant from India Sathiyan Gnanasekaran 3-1 in the first round of the preliminary stage and cruised into the next stage in the sporting event.
The Iranian table tennis player is in 208th place, while his rival is in 89th place in the world ranking.
Previously in the tournament, other Iranian players including Noshad Alamian and Amir-Hossein Hodaei accepted defeat against their rivals and were eliminated in the preliminary stage.
