TEHRAN, Jan. 04 (MNA) – Iran’s Supreme National Security Council met on the latest terror attacks in the southeastern city of Kerman, making decisions aimed at accelerating the process to identify and punish the perpetrators of the terrorist act.

The SNSC met on Thursday in Tehran, a day after two explosions rocked an area near Kerman Martyrs Cemetery, which was packed with people marking the fourth anniversary of the US assassination of top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani. According to the Health Ministry, 84 people lost their lives and 284 others were injured in the terror attack.

Having considered reports by intelligence, security, and law enforcement bodies, the SNSC called on intelligence bodies to quickly follow up on the clues obtained so far to identify the perpetrators.
