"On November 28, Russian Special Presidential Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, received Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Moscow Kazem Jalali at his request. During the conversation, there was an extensive exchange of views on the current situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone. The humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip was given special attention," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website.
The sides also touched upon a number of other topical issues on the Middle East agenda, according to TASS.
The Israeli regime launched the war on Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas waged the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying entity in response to the Israeli regime's decades-long campaign of bloodletting and devastation against Palestinians.
According to the Gaza-based health ministry, so far over 15,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes, most of them women and children.
Tel Aviv has also imposed a “complete siege” on Gaza, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.
