Iran calls for global action to stop Israeli crimes in Gaza

TEHRAN, Nov. 11 (MNA) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman has called for global action to stop the Israeli regime's atrocities in Gaza, saying the crisis in Gaza is a test of humanity’s conscience.

"Gaza is a test for humanity to test its conscience! No living and awakened conscience will remain silent after seeing images of the massacre of Palestinians in Gaza, the complete siege of over 2 million people, the bombing of hospitals and the killing of patients, and the siege of the children's hospital,” Nasser Kan'ani wrote in a post on X on Friday.

Kan'ani said the world shouldn’t wait for the UN Security Council, as considering the Western support for the Israeli regime, the council has no will to put an end to the genocide in Gaza.

“Is the world waiting for the UN Security Council? This council has no will to stop the Zionist regime’s killing machine and end the genocide of Palestinians under the shadow of the US veto and the support of England and France for the evil Zionist regime!”

The spokesman also slammed the US support for Tel Aviv, saying it further emboldens the regime to commit crimes.

The war on Gaza started after the territory's Resistance movements waged a surprise attack against the occupying entity, dubbed Operation al-Aqsa Storm, in response to its decades-long campaign of bloodletting and devastation against Palestinians.

Over 11,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed in Israeli aerial and ground attacks so far.

It has also imposed a complete siege on Gaza, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to more than two million Palestinians living there.

Iran has repeatedly warned about the repercussions of the intensification of Israeli atrocities against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.
