Iran parliament to hold meeting on EU's anti-IRGC action

TEHRAN, Jan. 18 (MNA) – The National Security Commission of the Iranian Parliament will convene for a meeting to discuss the action of the European Parliament against the IRGC.

The Vice Chairman of the Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission announced the holding of an extraordinary meeting of the commission to examine various issues, including the recent action of the European Parliament against the IRGC.

The European Parliament held a session on Wednesday during which the members called on the bloc to put the IRGC on the terrorist list.

Iran has already warned the European Union against the move.

The Iranian interior minister Ahmad Vahidi said on Wednesday that the EU's attempt to put the Iranian IRGC on its terrorist list shows the Europeans' apex of desperation and ignorance, stressing that labeling the Iranian force will not affect its anti-terror campaign.
