A Handful of Stars in Shahdad Desert

TEHRAN, Sept. 12 (Mehr News Agency) – The Shahdad Desert Festival opens a new stage in tourism industry in Kerman Province.

Hundreds of Iranian and foreign tourists gather in the one of the hottest spots in the earth to spend the night in the heart of the Loot desert.

Although it is rather hard for tourists to visit the desert during daytime, dozens arrive there as twilight draws near.

Desert Tourism Camp in Shahdad invites adventurous visitors to a night abounding with shining stars.

The beautiful camp located 30kms off the Shahdad Desert, with 18 arbors, an open amphitheater, and restaurant is ready to host the tourists.

Also with two telescopes in the desert astronomy site, those interested have the chance to observe the stars.

While visiting the historical sites of the region with 6,000,000 years old in Shahdad, and crossing the villages on the outskirts of the desert in Takab, you will see dozens of beautiful sites like Gaz Jungle, Nader Caravansary, and running sand mounds.

Bright shining stars and singular calmness pervade the desert. Far from the hustle and bustle of city life, you can experience a memorable night and imbibe the grandeur and glory of Allah. All you need to do is reach out your hand and pick a handful of stars, bright and beautiful!

Covering an area of 24,000 square meters, the Shahdad Desert is located in the northeast of the province dating back to the 3rd millennium B.C.

Different weather conditions, beautiful handicraft, and diverse traditions are among other beauties of the region.
