Three petrochemical projects to become operational in Assaluyeh by summer

TEHRAN, Apr. 4 (MNA) -- Three petrochemical projects will come on stream in Assaluyeh by summer, noted here on Tuesday an official with the National Iranian Petrochemical Industries Company.

Commenting on the latest situation of the major petrochemical projects underway in Assaluyeh - the nation’s oil and gas rich southern region - Mehdi Safari said Mobin and Bandar Abbas petrochemical plants were currently operational. He explained that the projects consisted of development of Urea and Ammonia, Fourth Methanol, Fourth Ammonia, Mobin plants as well as building the Assaluyeh Dock.

 

He referred to nitrogen and oxygen as the main products of Mobin Petrochemical Plant and said that German experts were presiding over the project.

 

Pars Petrochemical Plant has become operational since last week and three tons of the propane produced at the plant was the first consignment delivered from the major petrochemical unit to the Southeast Asia last week.
