Asia Receives 72% of Iran's total export

TEHRAN, August 26 (Mehr News Agency) — Iran's non-oil commodities have been exported to all five continents in the past Iranian calendar year (starting March 20), among which 72 percent were exported to Asia, Public Relations Department of Iran's Customs Office announced here Monday.

Europe, America, Africa, and Asia Pacific have received 20.7%, 4%, 2.6%, and 0.3% of Iran's total non-oil commodities, respectively, the department reported.

 

While the figures for Asia, Africa, America, and Asia Pacific show a promising increase, exports to Europe declined by 9.5% in the value, based on the announcement.   

 

Non-oil exports to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) member countries amounted to $2.46 billion which made up 53.5% of the total exports.

 

Exports to ECO member countries show a 2.1% decrease in terms of value; compared to the figure for the corresponding period the previous year (ended March 20).
