Iran’s ICT min. attends Caspian Innovation Conference

TEHRAN, Nov. 05 (MNA) – The Caspian Innovation Conference 2018 kicked off in Baku, Azerbaijan today, with ICT ministers from Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania and Afghanistan attending the event.

Heading a high-ranking delegation, Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi is scheduled to deliver a speech in the event, which is themed “Digital Connectivity for Sustainable Development”.

The regional platform is organized by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies with the aim of discussing the sectoral challenges, as well as effective partnership opportunities between the stakeholders of ICT sector.

During his stay, Jahromi is expected to participate in a four-party meeting of communication ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, and Iran.

He will also hold bilateral meetings with these ministers to discuss relations with these countries and exchange views on the development of bilateral cooperation.
