Islamic Establishment, an advanced version of Islam

TEHRAN, Dec. 02 (MNA) – Chairman of Indian Cultural Relations Council said that Islamic Establishment is an advanced version of Islam that looks at the future and has a special respect and dignity in the world.

He made the above remark in the course of his visit to Tehran on Sat. Dec. 1 for participating in a Conference on “Linguistic Links between Persian and Sanskrit Languages”.

In this regard, he met and held talks with the Head of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) Abouzar Ebrahimi Torkaman.

For his part, Ebrahimi Torkaman pointed to the cultural commonalities between Islamic Republic of Iran and India and said, “the first official cultural agreement, concluded between the two countries, dates back to 62 years ago. After conclusion of this bilateral agreement, cultural cooperation and activities of the two countries entered into a new phase concurrent with the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution.”

He acknowledged that recognition, interest, empathy, unity and amity is the most important asset for the expansion of cultural ties between the two countries of Iran and India.

Member of Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution also stated, “we have made our utmost effort to implement provisions of cultural agreement between the two countries, the most important of which is related to organizing cultural dialogues.”

In this regard, the first round of cultural dialogues was held in India and articles were published in Persian and English furtherly.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he emphasized that Islam has established fair and amicable relationship with all religions peacefully and affectionately.

In conclusion, Head of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) Abouzar Ebrahimi Torkaman suggested the establishment of a cultural committee in Joint Economic Forum of the two countries and placed special emphasis on the necessity of expanding and broadening cultural cooperation coupled with implementation of joint cultural programs between the two countries.
