Thailand, Iran snatch most team titles of Asian U23 Slalom

TEHRAN, Nov. 03 (MNA) – The team event of 2018 Asian Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom Championships wrapped up on Friday while Thailand and Iran gained most of the titles.

The first edition of Asian Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom Championships kicked off in Karaj, Alborz province, on October 31 and wraps up today. Athletes from different Asian countries including Iran, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Vietnam, Chinese Taipei, Lebanon, India, and Turkey participate in the event.

The team event was held on Thursday and Friday and here are the full results:

U23 category

Men’s canoe:

1. Kazakhstan, 2. Uzbekistan, 3. Thailand

Women’s canoe:

1. Thailand, 2. Iran, 3. India

Men’s kayak:

1. Chinese Taipei, 2. Uzbekistan, 3.Kazakhstan

Women’s Kayak:

1. Iran, 2. Thailand

Junior category

Men’s canoe

1. Iran, 2. Thailand, 3. Kazakhstan

Men’s kayak:

1. Thailand, 2. Iran, 3. Kazakhstan

Women’s kayak:

1. Thailand, 2. India, 3. Iran

Competitions of the individual categories are now underway and the champions will be announced in the coming hours.
