Iran’s production in South Pars gas field in the Persian Gulf despite the looming US sanctions on its energy industry, surpassing the neighboring country Qatar’s daily natural gas extraction.
Back in March, Iran's daily gas production capacity in South Pars was about 570 million cubic meters, while the production capacity reduced to 502 during the first 6 months of the Iranian year (starting on March 21).
But thanks to the overhaul of a number of platforms, pipelines and refineries, the capacity has risen to 600 million cubic meters.
The capacity to produce 600 million cubic meters of gas has led Iran production capacity to overtake that of Qatar by 40 million cubic meters.
