Saudi Arabia suspends oil exports through Bab al-Mandeb

TEHRAN, Jul. 26 (MNA) – Saudi Arabia claimed the suspension of all oil shipments through the Bab al-Mandeb Strait after Yemen's Popular Committees attacked on two crude-carrying vessels.

Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia Khalid A. Al-Falih said on Thursday the kingdom would halt all oil shipments through the strait immediately.

The suspension will last "until the situation becomes clearer and maritime transit through Bab al-Mandeb is safe", al-Falih said in a statement.

He claimed that Yemeni forces targeted Saudi tankers in the Red Sea, causing damages.
