Iran, Austria high-ranking delegations meet in Vienna

TEHRAN, Jul. 04 (MNA) – The meeting between the high-ranking delegations of Iran and Austria officially kicked off on Wednesday at Hoffenheim Palace in Vienna.

The high-ranking delegations of Iran and Austria held a bilateral meeting on Wednesday at Hoffenheim Palace in Vienna in attendance of Iranian President Rouhani and Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen.

Iranian President Rouhani and the accompanying senior politico-economic delegation arrived in Austrian capital city late on Tuesday. President Rouhani was welcomed at an official ceremony early on Wednesday.

After arriving in Vienna, President Rouhani had a meeting with Iranian expatriates living in Austria in an intimate and close gathering.

The Iranian and Austrian presidents are slated to hold a joint press conference at the end of the meeting of the high-ranking delegations.

In his visit to Switzerland and Austria, Presdient Rouhani was accompanies by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Health Minister Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi, Vice-President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari, Advisor Hesamoddin Ashena and Chief of Presidential Staff Mahmoud Vaezi.

The two-stop European tour of President Rouhani kicked off on Monday when he arrived in Zurich of Switzerland and was warmly received by Swiss President Alain Berset at airport.
