Iran’s Sadeghi wins Golden Hat at Belgium’s Cartoon Festival

TEHRAN, Jul. 04 (MNA) – Iranian cartoonist Saeed Sadeghi won the golden hat of 57th Knokke-Heist Cartoon Festival in Belgium.

The Cartoon is about the Moai - the large stone statues on Easter Island.

Cartoonists from Portugal and Bulgaria received the Silver and Bronze Hats respectively. Participants were free to choose the theme of their entries.

Displaying of selected works has started from June 30 in Knokke-Heist and will end on September 9.

Born in 1974 in Fars province’s Jahrom, Saeed Sadeghi has a BA in painting from Tehran Art University. He has won numerous national and international prizes for his cartoons.
